The ACES Symposium underscored both the promise and the complexity of Pennsylvania’s electrification future. As AI infrastructure continues to expand, the Center for Advancing Community Electrification Solutions (ACES) is committed to aligning technological innovation with social responsibility, environmental stewardship, and community resilience.
Our Strategic Action Areas
Based on the expert consensus reached during the symposium, ACES has identified three core action areas to address the emerging challenges of the AI-driven grid:
Strengthen Collaborations
Through partnerships, we can jointly identify challenges and opportunities, and co-develop scalable solutions for grid resilience.
Advance Research & Workforce Development
By launching targeted research programs, we can solve immediate technical gaps while training the future engineers, policymakers, and technicians for the growing energy and water sectors.
Foster Multi-Stakeholder Dialogue
We will continue to serve as a neutral convener for industry, government, national labs, and community advocacy groups to ensure that the emergence of AI data centers benefits society at large.
